About Elle EditsLaureen ("Elle") Cantwell fell into editing in 2013. She proposed a noir anthology to Akashic Books (Memphis Noir, Oct. 2015) and served as co-editor of that anthology. Within that role, she wrote the introduction as well as edited the stories of established and emerging talents alike (e.g., Lee Martin, Kaye George, Sheree Renee Thomas, Art Flowers, Ehi Ike, & Troy Williams).
Then, she began serving as an anthology editor for Month9Books (first YA anthology anticipated Oct. 2016, In the Beginning), where she worked with one of the Noir authors (Stephen Clements) again. One story forthcoming in this anthology has expanded into a trilogy concept, the first book of which is under review (Elle was developmental editor). Now, she wants to help you, too! |
